Question on cloud computing...........?

can someone please clarify me what is a cloud computing...

please clarify that to me in simple terms without too much technical jargons..since i have basic knowledge in computers and hardware.Question on cloud computing...........?
I'll give you a scenario..

Using your computer in a normal way (like now, just surfing the web and asking questions on Answers.com) only uses a small amount of your processor (like 10% at most), and even less if you have a computer with multiple cores. So why not share what you're not using with other people? That's the basic idea behind cloud computing. A computer (or several computers) splitting the workload of many users to take full advantage of all available hardware and make the resources available to all who have access to it.

Say you want to edit a high resolution photo or video and add special effects, but you only have a weak netbook computer. You could upload the photo/video to a server somewhere, use an online editing app, and the servers will process and encode the video for you and send you the finished result that would of taken hours among hours if done on a slow netbook computer.

Cloud computing is computing in which services and storage are provided over the Internet(Cloud). It lets you use files and applications over the Internet(Cloud).

Technically cloud means internet.........
