Cloud Computing...what is it?

I just dropped my laptop off to get fixed and a lady mentioned that I may want to try cloud computing. I was confused i've never heard of it can someone help me please? What is cloud computing? What are benefits of cloud computing?Cloud Computing...what is it?

Its more or less like you have a lot of computing power online rather than as a single machine that's at your house/office. The good thing is, you can get as much as much computing cycles as you want, at a lower cost (possibly). Its not really the best option normal users have. Its more useful for small companies who doesn't want to spend millions on infrastructure.Cloud Computing...what is it?
