Looking for some Help with Cloud Computing!?

I need some help with cloud computing. What would an average person use it for? What providers are out there? Do you have any tips or advice as a cloud user? I have been searching all night and really have had a hard time getting my questions answered. Can someone please help explain in a cloud for dummies type format?

Cloud Computing is a way to store your files on web or use web apps (like email). if you put your files and documents on a cloud storage, then you can access it from any Internet connected device, web apps are some apps that are like a site and they don't need any installation like emails or some online games (chrome.angrybirds.com)

if you want to store your documents and files on a cloud service, the best place is SkyDrive that is a service from Microsoft Windows live. you should have a windows live account to have it (25GB! It's pretty cool!)

also DropBox (https://www.dropbox.com) gives you 2GB free storage on the web. but the windows live service has the office web app to edit your files easily on the web. so you don't need flash disk and external hard drives any more!!!
