I would like to load numerous chess programs %26amp; chess databases my computer. I need these programs to run as if they are on my hard drive, but with the ability to interact with huge game databases. Right now, if I try to load all this on my home computer it gets overwhelmed %26amp; runs poorly.



What are my best options?

Cloud storage?

External memory?

External hard drive?

A program will run fastest if it's installed on your internal drive. No modern computer should be slowed by these programs, so I'd start by troubleshooting the problem. More memory and a disk cleanup. defrag and chkdsk would be a good start.

You're handicapping yourself by using an external.It's easy to add a drive or replace an existing drive.
