What is cloud computing and how it help an individual with PC?

I wish to learn more about cloud computing as an individual user. What is cloud computing and how it help an individual with PC?
cloud Computing in the simplest explanation is the process that Data centers make to be able to store Data on Clouds or in common term known as Internet. many had change their way in storing data now that Cloud Services is dominating.
Cloud computing is the delivery of computing as a service rather than a product, whereby shared resources, software and information are provided to computers and other devices as a utility (like the electricity grid) over a network (typically the Internet).

Cloud computing - oversimplified..

instead of using only the resources on your personal computer, you leverage the resources of other computers %26amp; servers you can access over networks or internetworks.

Tools.. heck, thousands..

open source stuff like rsync (*nix backup) , commercial applications like Microsoft Live Cloud storage, Amazon Music Cloud storage/player, Google sites, Google apps, numerous online backup websites (Carbonite?), and even hosted applications like CitrixGoToMeeting, GoToMyPC, Microsoft Live Office, and Video streaming.

Advantages / disadvantages:

Pro: more storage %26amp; computing power without the cost to buy or overhead to maintain it.

easier to upgrade %26amp; add-on technology

external tech support to help

available even if your primary computer system(s) go down

Cons: net expenses are more than buying the equipment yourself.

information security can never really be guaranteed; you need to trust a 3rd party.

3rd party may live up to SLA (service -level -agreement) or not..

3rd party may fail backups, be destroyed by floods / fire..

3rd party may go bankrupt or get bought out.

latency.. the info / apps you use are not on your machine, so you have the network lag to deal with.

i get this answer from another person...... learn lot ... best of luck
In general, the essence of cloud computing is the way of keeping information. In traditional computing, we store all data and programs on our PCs and normally we can access them only through the same computer unless you allow remote access. Whereas in cloud computing all necessary data and programs are stored in the service provider’s information centre and thereof they can be accessed from any PC with an Internet connection. In many cases you don’t even have to download and install any applications to your computer, because they are already in the “cloud”. More information about the "cloud":

It's not worthy a endeavor and perhaps IT Industry honchos are trying to bring up something that "sounds" novel and perhaps a money spinner - it ain't a sustainable model as one needs to compromise on issues that one usually would'nt - I won't.
